Psychodynamic Counselling in Leicester and Online

Do you feel at war with yourself—torn between wanting more and fearing you don’t deserve it?

My name is Jamie. I am a psychodynamic counsellor based in Leicester, offering therapy in person and online across the UK.

I offer counselling for issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, overthinking, and relationship difficulties. I work particularly with people who struggle with guilt, self-criticism, and patterns of putting others first at their own expense.

You may find yourself overthinking conversations, worrying about how you come across, or feeling responsible for other people’s feelings. You might find it difficult to say no, avoid conflict, or feel frustrated but unsure how to express it. Even when things seem to be going well, you may feel held back by self-doubt or a sense that you’ve done something wrong.

I work particularly with people who struggle with overthinking, guilt and self-criticism; you can read more about this on my Overthinking, Guilt and Self-Criticism Counselling page.

I provide a space for deep reflection and self-discovery, where we can explore how your past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Appointments are available during the week, including daytime and some early evening sessions.

I trained and worked at the Leicester Psychodynamic Counselling Centre, where I support clients and have assisted in training students.

As an accredited member of the BACP (MBACP Accred), I offer a confidential and professional space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel heard.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I aim to walk alongside you with curiosity and care.

I offer a free initial consultation to see if we would be a good fit.

To ensure safe and effective therapy, I work with adult clients experiencing emotional conflicts suited to psychodynamic exploration.
